Dervla and Nils are an acoustic duo based between South East London and Kent, since forming over 2 years ago they have gigged across the South East and London. They have played venues such as 93 Feet East in the same line up as Santigold, to performing in front of 5000 people at Tonbridge and Maidstone Christmas lights switch on, to frequenting local haunts such as the forum, Tunbridge wells. Dervla is the lead vocalist and Nils plays guitar, sings and plays a range of percussion instruments. The sound produced by the pair is smooth and uncomplicated, the rough tone of Nils’s voice works well with the gentle sound of Dervla’s and forms a dynamic contrast. The pair are available as a duo or a function band for weddings, birthdays and other occasions.



Dervla has been singing from a very young age and has played with various musicians throughout her career. These include Jon Mills, from the band Klaus Says Buy The Record, as part of his choir and many others. She has sang at lots of different events including lots of Weddings and 18th/21st birthday party’s, and often gets praised on the “soft, angelic” quality she has to her voice. She has varied influences ranging from indie artists such as Bat For Lashes to Beyonce. She is currently studying media at Goldsmiths University in London



Nils plays with a few different local bands including Ross and the Wrongens and previously Bareface. With these bands he has played various festivals such as Lounge on the Farm and Hevy Fest as well as touring up and down the country. The conflicting genres of these bands music and the fact that he plays electric bass/upright bass with these acts shows his versatility as a musician. On his travels he has performed at many great venues including the Cavern Club in Liverpool, the Garage in London, and the O2 Islington academy in London. He is currently studying Music at the university of Kent.
